I needed an internet connection to be able to work remotely. There are tables with outlets to plug in a laptop. It was a great place to work while my wife was visiting her mother at the farm. I can't comment on any of the other services at the library as I didn't use them.
Helpful staff, clean environment, friendly atmosphere. Access to abundant literature or media slightly limited in comparison to other libraries that i am accustomed to. Incredible childrens library with access to many childrens books, minimal media, and actual living animals for children to visit. Elevators available for accessibility for handicapped. Excellent-abundant parking. Evening-after hours drop box for media and literature.

The fault with Carnegie is not with their book selection, but with the environment itself. In the designated "Quiet" areas there is absolutely no enforcement. There have been numerous times I have come to these quiet areas to study and there have been extremely loud and talkative people. One man was on his cell phone for 20 minutes and the librarians did nothing. Not once has anyone been told to be quiet by the staff, no matter how disruptive. What is the point of a designated "Quiet Area" if it never enforced? I have even had staff putting things away and being extremely loud right next to as I'm working with zero regard for my concentration. Also, they changed Internet providers and now the connection is painfully slow. I used to enjoy coming here, but the environment is no longer conducive for any serious work.
